Diwaly Party

Having missed out the Halloween party and live concert at Northern Royal Music College, I decided that I have to come, no matter what, to Diwaly which was organized by MBA folks. I just don’t wanna lose fun moment any more after struggling with marketing group project, Merger & Acquisition Project, Community Project, and soon and so forth which stole a part of my life recently. Food, dancing and friendship were fantastic and 13 pound was worthwhile.

us.Cyworld.com

Cyworld, a South Korean social networking site, was launched into the US market in August 2006. The unique feature of Cyworld is ‘3-D minihome’, a personal homepage for avatar – a member’s virtual alter-ego.  With the saturation of the South Korea market, CyWorld decided to focus on global expansion. In 2005 and 2006 Cyworld launched its beta services in Japan, China, Taiwan, Vietnam and German. In 2006 Cyworld announced its plan to enter into the US market.

We, Vineesh (India), Santiago (Columbia), Felipe (Columbia), Damir (Rusia), Majeed (Saudi) and me ( Indo) are playing a role as marketing team of cyworld and presenting the elaborate  expansion idea to US local  media and business influencer, convincing them the expansion would be value for business.

every day is unique

Mike asked "why today is so special for you", some folks replied with different approach of answer. Mike tried to use philosophy approach by saying that "why today is so special because today is only happened once in our life time. Yesterday and tomorrow must be different day". So, as human being, life is more meaningful if we face every day positively and optimistically.

feedback

As mentioned in the leaflet Brathay is an educational charity, established in 1946, which is concerned with development of individuals, team, organizations and communities. Present clients include companies from every sector, and around 500 event and courses were run by brathay last year, mainly in the UK, but also including work in North America, Singapore and mainland Europe. Brathay's connection with Manchester Business School began in 1980s.

The learning method is basically the same as other team builder organization in Indonesia. We were doing adrenaline sport to kill our fear, and encourage us to be more involved in the team, personally and professionally. So, basically there is nothing special with the program in term of its outdoors activities. Thing that make it different with Indonesian outbound style is its feedback session, the part I hate and I love all at once. Each of us had to give both positive (things related to our positive value in group) and negative feedback. For Indonesian, giving feedback, particularly    negative feedback could be considered as disrespectful or sometimes insulting.

However, in my point of view, giving feedback is a tool for us to be more developed. By receiving feedback we are able to distinguish what we have and have not to do in particular environment as well as an edge to behave for certain person or communities.
